The Law Review Congratulates CMs and Kicks Off the New Year

On September 4, the Law Review gathered to welcome our new Candidate Members and hand out a number of awards recognizing their hard work this summer.

GMLR Fall Welcome

We gave out 5 awards to a group of rising Law Review stars. Research Editors were charged with selecting one person from each group to win the Volume 23 Issue 1 “Ace of Spading Award” for Research Excellence:

Recipients of the Aces of Spading

Team Blake: Simone Dallaire

Team Adrian: Camilla Hundley

Team Carly: Elizabeth Cannon

Team Angie: Caitlin Van Sant

Please congratulate these folks if you see them around campus, and ask them for spading tips, too! They did a truly great job on this issue. We really do appreciate everyone’s hard work. Without you, it would not be possible to produce the quality product that we are known for.

One other special award went to the person with the best Write-on submission. Out of more than 80 entries, this person submitted the #1 paper. Keith Underkoffler will receive the Arthur E. Schmalz award, hopefully from the award’s namesake, at the Alumni Social in late February. Please congratulate Keith on an exceptional effort as he takes the torch from last year’s winner, Matt Tully.
